Giles County 4-H Photo Search Contest

4th-12th Grades

This contest is usually conducted in the spring and is a great time to get out and capture dazzling new life! You might get some great photos of bees, flowers, trees, and so much more! Here are some of the rules and guidelines for the contest.

  • Select ONE of the following categories: Animals, Insects, Historic Tennessee, Landscape/Seascape, Plants, Machinery, or People.
  • Photo MUST be taken by You, the 4-H’er!
  • Print your photo and attach it to an 8 1/2×11, standard size, piece of construction paper or card-stock. Give it a CAPTION TITLE (name it) and write a few sentences telling us the inspiration or story behind your photo (why did you take the picture?)
  • Make sure to include your name, homeroom teacher, school, grade, and category on the back of your paper mount.
  • Photos will be judged by category, not grade, and collected during the March club meetings. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded in each category at the county level.

Now get out and see the world through the lens of your camera or phone!

***Hang on to your original digital copies of your photos. We will be looking for entries to the State 4-H Photo Search in June.
