Available Livestock Information for Giles Youth
Are you ready to learn more about beef cattle and the beef cattle industry? In this project you will learn about breeds, production, selection, grooming, nutrition, management, and more! You will also gain skills that you will use in other areas of your life such as decision making, communicating with others and being an effective leader.
Youth will get the chance to compete in Livestock Judging, Skillathons, and show in the Beef Shows including at Here’s the Beef Festival in Giles County.

Here’s the Beef- Beef Show
Show will be Saturday, August 9th, 2025. Please check back here later for more information.
Through sheep projects youth will learn about selection and evaluation, nutrition and feeding, health and daily care, reproduction, marketing, and much more. Youth learn to accept responsibility, to value hard work, think critically, make decisions, and communicate.
Youth have opportunities to show their sheep at various expo’s during each calendar year.
