4-H Interactive Exhibits

Self explanatory exhibit showcasing knowledge gained, or a technique or skill learned

6th-8th Grades

  • You have 1-2 minutes to explain your exhibit, which should be displayed on a tri-fold board. Judges then have 2-3 minutes to ask questions.
  • 1 point is deducted for every 30 seconds over time limit. If explanation is under 1 minute, 5 points are deducted.
  • The exhibit should support knowledge gained, or a technique or skill learned.
  • Any props should support project display board.
  • The word 4-H or the 4-H emblem should be somewhere on the exhibit.
  • If technology is used, it is only a supplement to your visual and provides no auditory support. It does not replace your exhibit board.
  • This is NOT a demonstration! Exhibit should relate to 4-H project work. It should be self explanatory.
  • Competition is by project, not by grade. Competition ends at sub-region level.
  • Interactive Exhibit should relate to one of the (29) 4-H Projects.Youth may only compete in one project area.
  • Limit three youth per project/per county advance to the area-level contest.
  • Each exhibitor will have 1/2 of a six-foot table. Free standing tri-fold exhibit boards should be used. Space from the table to the floor may be used.
  • No live animals, babies, fireworks, weapons, or anything else prohibited at school.
